We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming...

... to bring you this message:

More than a foot of new snow has fallen on Mount Hood in the past 24 hours!  Woo-hoo!

In a move sure to impress the new bosses, I'm skipping out on work to go snowboarding today; the conditions should be epic.  Some might say that I should get my priorities straight.  I would argue I already have.

  1. Don't break anything! I know I would. And have a hot chocolate for me. It's not on my diet. :(

  2. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm you have your priorities set just fine...... makes me wish for the dry, crispy snow of the Tetons.

I haven't been snow boarding in ages. Now I have boarding envy. Thanks :(

  3. Where R U Travis? Somewhere near a mountain I hope.

Never had the pleasure of dry, crispy Tetons or Rockies snow. Cascade cement, as the snow snobs, call it... but I'm only 2 hours away and that suits me fine. I'll take what I can get.

P.S. Sorry 'bout the boarding envy!

  4. I wish I was near a mountain, I'm in the middle of Wisconsin instead. I originated from Wyoming just 1 hour south of Jackson Hole... and the snow.. was... just awesome. I miss it.

  5. Looks like you started something KB.
We just got clobbered with 3 1/2 feet here in Southern VT.
I just got done shovelling out my windows,
I'm running out of room to put the stuff.

  6. Rob, I can't imagine 3 1/2 feet of snow! Looks like Punxsutawney Phil was right about six more weeks of winter - in the Northeast, anyway. The beauty of Portland is you can always drive to snow... even to ski in July... but you don't have to LIVE with snow.

Travis - feeling for you. I know what it's like to be far from a mountain and missing it.
