Baby Katherine made a surprise early appearance, born on November 21, a squalling 4lbs, 2oz. She's small but mighty and so tiny that she charms every one she meets.
She couldn't wait to meet you officially. Gorgeous! And hair. I wanted a baby with hair (but wasn't willing to trade mine!). May the sleep fairies be with you all.
Now that she's here, I can't imagine her bald... but I'm not sure what I expected. The question is, since she's got teeny, tiny blonde eyelashes, will she keep her dark newborn hair and take after daddy? (And if so, it's a shame if she doesn't inherit his gorgeous lashes.) Or will she lose it and become a platinum blonde like her momma?
Secretly I'm hoping for a little fluffy blonde. :-)
Thanks Helen - I'm happy to have her out. I wasn't at all uncomfortable or at that "I just want it over" state, but I didn't really want a Christmas baby.
She's got her Daddy's smile, and I'm lucky to have captured it when she was only two days old!
Thanks very much, Krysta! I think she's beautiful and the folks at the hospital commented on how long her legs are, so we've got our fingers crossed for a supermodel. Daddy wants a helicopter and those things don't just buy themselves, ya know. ;-)
O.M.F-ing.G I was only thinking the other day you'd been quiet. And now I know why. I need to keep a closer eye on my google reader account don't i. She is absolutely gorgeous. I bet you are so proud. Big love to the 3 of you. xx
Congratulations. She looks absolutely perfect and I think she's pretty clever for figuring out being born a month before xmas would be way better than sticking to her actual due date. Lots of thoughts to you.

Lovely smile!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rebecca. I, of course, think she's gorgeous. Even if she did look like a little alien at first. She's my little alien.
DeleteOh my goodness! She is so beautiful! Look at that little smil! Congratulations!

To be fair, Em, it took me a while to get around to posting this. Thanks for stopping by, and yes, I am one proud momma! :-)

ReplyDeleteToo right, Drew, she'll be glad that she didn't arrive on her due date. Probably even more glad than I am!
